While looking for a book via my hometown's library Web site, I came across the following short list about what the library patrons in my hometown are reading...
There is a dust bunny so large in my living room that when I caught site of it out of the corner of my eye, I thought it was one of my cats! Vacuuming this place could keep a cleaning service in business!
I LOVE that there are dancers dancing to a Hot Chip remix on So You Think You Can Dance!
The video below isn't the Hot Chip dance, but it's a dance that was on the show a week or so ago that was so lovely that it reminded me how badly I used to want to be a dancer.
"About Me" is always so hard for me. I'm a graduate student. I live in Chicago. I'm 30. I'm a member of the LGBT community (that sounds so formal), but I don't really use any label. Umm.. how about some things I dig and don't dig!?
things I dig: my gf, Chicago summers, street fests, Tina Fey, days off, coffee (now decaf, sadly), warm evenings grilling on my deck, Ellen DeGeneres, railing at the government and the U.S. healthcare system, comedy, ghost towns, carnivals, tiny houses, sustainable living, learning to compost, the Sedaris family, film, friends, family, really good TV shows (Dexter, Weeds, Six Feet Under, The Simpsons, Strangers with Candy, 30 Rock, Arrested Development), recycling, Democracy Now!, live music, Sarah Vowell, travel
this video..a lot right now:
things I most certainly do not dig: litterbugs, the death penalty, injustice, sexism in this election, my tendency to procrastinate, no bike for the spring, Lindsey Lohan's unfortunate career spiral, the end of the Harry Potter series, centipedes
Hey Peaches! Thanks for the comment. I'm also a grad student, currently in Indiana but hoping to get back to Chicago after I graduate this summer!
Love Degrassi High!! I sometimes watch the new generation of Degrassi just to watch the old characters as parents, but it's not the same! Welcome to TSB!
