Nobody Gonna Break Our Stride.

As the cliche goes: a lot can happen in a year. My brother got married, one of my closest friends (WriterJax) got married, another of my closest friends (Fanny aka Tiff, who is more like a close older sister) got married, and I met cousins on my mom's side of the family that I'd never even seen pictures of. My little sister traveled (like a big girl) to Kansas and back. I finally got to see the New Kids on the Block in concert (no comments from the haters in the peanut gallery, please).
While I could certainly do without some of the other things that have happened over the past 365 days, all of the above happy events have made the past year fun.
But, bringing Debbie Downer into the inevitable mix: my Gramma Murphy has been gone for an entire year. I haven't seen her or heard her call me "sweetheart" for a whole year. She's the first of my closer relatives to pass, so it still seems almost surreal. You just never can prepare yourself for something like that, as too many people already know.
It's also been a whole year since I said goodbye to my 9-year-old white boxer, Cassie.... (http://thirtysomething.ning.com/profiles/blogs/the-road-to-a-friends-house-is)
This may be naivety talking, but some things have just changed so quickly, without any warning. Although if I were warned, there would have been no way to prepare.

I love change! I don't think we have a choice, BUT to embrace it:))))
