Nobody Gonna Break Our Stride.

I can't believe it's Thanksgiving already. It seems like just last week I was moving to the east coast and walking off my back porch to the beach (aka my back yard na na na na na na). It's way too cold now to go out there on a Saturday afternoon with my blanket, beach chair, book, iPod, water & sunscreen. Sad.
But I can wrap myself up in a sweatshirt and fleece jacket and go out there anyway. It's still really pretty looking out my living room window in the morning to see the sun rise over the water before heading to the shower. Days like yesterday, however, make me wonder what the heck I'm doing out here - Sunday night and all day yesterday my beach featured coastal flooding in some areas and 50mph wind gusts. It's kinda freaky looking out my living room window in the morning to see 500-foot waves angrily make their way toward my house before I head to the shower.
It's a beautiful day today though. It figures that I'll soon be on my way to Western Mass. for a few days. Good timing.
But I'm more than happy to go because I'll be with my family and see some of my friends while I'm there. Oh, and most importantly, Crazy Helen made her famous, and my favorite, pumpkin bread that I only get at the holidays. I think there's a whole loaf just for me too! I'm thankful for that.
And as I write this oh-so-enthralling blog post, I can't help but think about all of the other things I'm thankful for. (I'm preparing for when it's my turn at the table to list a few.)
At the risk of sounding like a first grader who's done coloring her picture of a turkey and ready to tell her classmates what she's thankful for...........
I'm thankful for:
my family (despite how crazy and stressful they can be)
my friends
my apartment and the wicked awesome chic I live with
my health (aside from the whole seizing mess)
no longer working at a place that never appreciated me
my new job
how much Sophie & Savannah love me
the way our new Lil Jo-Jo smiles and giggles whenever he sees me
cheese
all of the years I had with my Cassie-girl, the pretty white boxer
my hair
my scrapbook stuff
my ability to write well
laughter
milk
my legs
being able to leave work early today (oh, wait, I think I should be doing work stuff right now, but I'm not really sure)
books
happy memories

I think that concludes my list at this time, thanks for reading. Although, I know there's a whole lot more I have to be thankful for.
