- I thought 2007/2008 was going to be the Year of Career. I had left one stable job for a risky yet fascinating job in my field and got knocked up about 2 weeks later. The risky job went south after a while (they still owe me money) but the baby stuck around. The husband also lost his funding for grad school. Now I'm trying to figure out this whole motherhood thing while not permanently scaring my newborn daughter, losing my sense of humour or going into debt.
