Well, my dream is New Zealand. But my hubby's company is worldwide, so the sky's the limit. We were talking Europe but only if they will compensate him for the exchange rate in his pay which I think they will do. Hopefully this will happen in 2-3 years. :-)

Keep trying with the pics, it can be fun to play around with if you have any patience for it. Myself? not so much patience with computers! Your cooking sounds fabulous!

Getting back on the horse

So I haven't been here for a while as I forgot my password! How ridiculous is that.

Hope everyone is well and that you are keeping safe.

Here in Melbourne where I live I am experiencing some of the more extreme of temperature etc. Yesterday was the hottest day ever in Melbourne - 46.4C (115.15F). Today 23C. Half the temperature.

But still the state burns in horrific fires - some deliberately lit!

In something completely different I have been out socialising. There is just something ever so e… Continue

Changing friendships #2

Since my last post on here I have taken some time to think through the grieving process that I described, I even discussed this with another really close friend. I am happier than what I was when I wrote the post and feel that the friendship will change as it needs to.

Another thing that made me re-evaluate what I was experiencing was a quote that appeared on my perpetual calendar by Anais Nin "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are."

I have decided that I am viewing the friend… Continue

changing friendships

Oh I am having an interesting time at the moment. Still single and discovering that my social circle is shrinking of like-minded single friends. I am now finding this frustrating and thought provoking.

It is very hard to explain the emotional roller coaster that I find myself on at the moment.

One of my closest friends just started dating another friend of mine and I am very happy for them but she was my single friend. I am jealous of their happiness (long may their happiness continue) and I a… Continue

paragliding dogs!

Not sure if many of you caught this article of news. I have head spins due to it! I am so in awe of this dog that I have mentionned it in two blogs!

I can see it now at the pet shop:

Storekeeper: Why do you want to buy a dog?

customer: to take it paragliding with me.

Storekeeper: I see. So you'd be hoping for an aerodynamic dog?

customer: Yes. I have a paraglider that takes up to 90kgs in weight and I weigh just on 75kgs.

first 'inspiring' blog........

Just came to this blog space via vanessa. now for an exciting first blog - well not really. I have spent the morning getting ready for the week ahead food wise. I have made soup (minestrone) anzac biscuits (think butternut snaps) and then I decided to do something with the left over pumpkin. I didnt want to make more soup so i jumped onto a web page (taste.com.au) and typed in pumpkin and got a few recipes thrown back at me. I love this website as it will provide me with lots of things to do wit… Continue
