Five years ago today, my ex-father in law passed away. It also happens to be my ex-husbands birthday. My ex-FIL had a stroke and never woke up from it. We were sitting in the front room after school on Monday afternoon. The 3 younger boys were playing PlayStation and Eleven was working on his First Aid merit badge workbook (I swear, that damn thing took FOREVER).

Even though I’ve been in the South for 14 years, the one thing I will never get used to is the food. Although, I have FINALLY found a place that sells orgasmic encased meats in a bun (Vienna Hot Dogs!)and the best damned drippy, wet Italian Beef sandwiches locally, I can’t afford to eat there everyday. Never mind adding to the muffintop that I sport.
