We are connected to our community through a variety of activities: volunteering for the fire department, shopping at farmers markets (when in season), worshiping with our grovemates, and eating local foods with the Sustainable Sustenance group we belong to. We garden every year and can what we can. This year, 2007, we got chickens to help transition us into the farmer role more throughly.
