Thirty-Something Bloggers

Nobody Gonna Break Our Stride.

Hey TSB-ers.
I use blogspot and have had some problems with random spacing. The text of my blog will look correct when I am writing it or view it in "preview" mode, but when I post it...
It is all spaced out
with random returns and spacing between words or pictures. Like so.
Does anyone have any tips or trick or helpful advice?
Thanks

I hate when that happens! When you are in the compose screen, switch over to the "edit html" tab. If your spacing is off, sometimes you will see either a P or a DIV (in lowercase though, I just put them in caps here so they would be easier to see) inside these: < > They tend to mess with the formatting of an entry. If you pull them out, your spacing should go back the way you wanted it. Just make sure you take out the matching closing tag (/P or /DIV) too!

Nope. Safari. I am looking at having the website privately hosted instead of Blogspot. Since I can't seem to get it right :-)
Thanks!

Try Firefox, it seems to play nicely with Blogger. Well....moreso than Safari!

I agree. It's Safari. Safari is a great browser, but unfortunately Blogger doesn't think so. I have the same problem. Go with Firefox.

My wordpress blog does the same thing. The formatting is gorgeous when I am writing it, but when I preview it, nothing is where I put it. In this case, it is the WYSIWYG editor not reflecting the blog layout. It is damn annoying.

I use blogspot also but I use Firefox for my browser. I haven't had any problems (so far, knock wood....crossing fingers). Try downloading Firefox and see if that helps at all.

I use Firefox for my Blogger blog. I ran into spacing problems no matter which browser I was using when I pasted the pictures in as small or medium. If you paste them in as Large, text will only be above and below the pictures ... and thus, your text spacing should not be affected. Well, at least that's the workaround I came up with when the spacing problems occurred.
