It was safe to ride your bike all over the neighborhood for hours. You didn't worry so much that someone was going to steal you.

i couldn't download a song whenever i wanted. i had to call the radio station like 59 times to get through, request a song, and wait another hour and a half for the song to come on and have a blank tape ready to record it.

I used to tape songs off the radio. I call it "old school downloading."

When I was a kid our VCR cost $800 and weighed a ton.

... Bret Michaels and Flavor Flav were rock stars, not reality tv stars.
... We wore "jellies" on our feet and "jams" on our rears.
... Our phone was plugged into the wall

Karla - where did you grow up? I have tried to explain the plastic charm necklaces to so many people who think I am nuts! We also had a Showbiz Pizza!

I made friendship pins out of beads and safety pins and bracelets out of cross-stitching thread and gave them to all my friends. Oh and we made cinnamon toothpicks. Not sure why, but we loved them.
