Nobody Gonna Break Our Stride.

Is anyone else who blogs on Wordpress having trouble getting the TSB badge to work? I copy and past it onto a text widget, but all I get is a text link on my site. Any suggestions?

It's a flash badge. You can't use flash on WP.com, sorry.

Maybe someone has made an HTML badge?

That's weird, because I use WP and my badge works fine...

Only the wordpress blogs hosted at wordpress. The "com" rather than the "org." The flash badges on WP blogs parked at your own domain should work fine.

Hey HH, I'm pretty sure I could whip up an HTML badge for you if you'd like, I would just need a copy of your avatar file to add to it (if you would like) and give me a day or two... :)

Julie and kperfetto, thank you so much for your support! I'm not sure what all that means, but if you have time, Julie, I would appreciate it. Would it be a better use of your time to "whip up" a generic version without my avatar, so anyone in my predicament could use it?

Sure I could do that...I should be able to have it available by Saturday if that's alright...

Ok, lets try this again, it was a lot easier than I thought, so here it is. I am attaching it as a text file because the forum here will actually parse the code...showing the picture instead of said code...grumble grumble...

Anyway right now the badge links to the main TSB page, but if you would like it to point to your individual page all you have to do is change the address within the code...i.e. change the "http://thirtysomething.ning.com/" to the address you would like it to point to...

Julie, I hate to sound lame, and maybe I'm doing something wrong, but when I click on this link I get the picture, not the code.

Now I feel like I've put you to so much trouble! I really appreciate this...

Ok, here's the deal, I put the code up on my server, so all you have to do is go to this link and copy and paste...and it should be a-ok...and anyone else who has this issue can use it too...

Would you be able to do the same thing for me. I have the same issue. I'm going to try to upload my image to you in this. I would really appreciate it.

I sure can, give me until tomorrow evening if that's alright...

I am fairly annoyed that the free wordpress blogs do not allow you to post any javascript or flash badges to your site, especially since these days most badges are not standard html ones.
